Grasp provides a detailed monitoring compliance for taxonomy guidelines.
By default, the compliance is based on taxonomy templates and fields that are currently live under specific guidelines.
As taxonomies can be updated from time to time, you may wonder what should be the behavior for past campaigns. (Should the monitoring be based on past or current templates in order to have the right compliance score)?
For that purpose, Grasp provides an option to define alternative templates, allowing users to define different templates to a given guidelines, depending on specific dates.
Grasp recommends using this feature for important changes, such as adding new fields or remove taxonomy values, while adding new values should not impact the previous monitoring.
For example, template for "Campaign Name" should be live and taken into account until March 4th, 2025, while template for "A bit of everything" should be live and taken into account until March, 11th, 2025, while the live template is "Ad Account EU":

Please note that this implies that old templates and fields should remain created and should not be deleted from the Taxo module.
Please also note that if you apply changes without alternative templates, past taxonomies will be updated based on the current template as soon as an edit is done on the entity.
When editing past campaigns, we’ll show the template that was active at the time the campaign was created.
If the campaign’s creation time isn’t available (which is the case for all platforms except Meta and TikTok), users will be prompted to provide the creation date by clicking on the Magic Builder.
